About the Pastor and Staff

 |
After growing up in New Jersey, Scott went on
to obtain a Degree in Architecture from a Rhode Island
University.
It was during his sophomore year there that
Scott gave his life to Christ in the midst of an attempted
suicide. God miraculously stepped in and saved him, body and
soul! He found his way to an on campus bible study where he
began to grow in Christ and gained a love for God’s word.
After graduating, he moved to Pennsylvania
where he began attending Calvary Chapel. By 1993, he was
teaching a home bible fellowship and involved in several church
ministries. It was at a leadership conference in 1994 that God
began to speak to him about a vision for ministry, which the
Lord then began to build a vision to return to New England to
teach God’s Word and plant a Calvary Chapel there. |
As Scott opened his life to the Lord’s plan, he asked
the pastors at the church to train him. It was during this time that
the Lord brought to Scott the 2nd love of his life, his soon-to-be wife,
Maria. In February 1996 Scott and Maria were married and the following
August they moved to Nashua, New Hampshire, just as God had lead, to
begin a Calvary Chapel there.
On Oct 7, 1996, they opened their home to a dozen
strangers that God brought for the first night's bible study. Though
they had not advertised, God brought the people; this would become a
valuable lessen in Scott's growth, as the Lord ministered what would
become a theme in ministry to Scott: "Trust God, not man!"
The ministry grew and within 18 months, the home study
was too large to continue in the house, so the group rented a small
suite in an Industrial Building which the group renovated to meet in as
a church. It wasn't much to begin with, but Scott's life verse gave them
inspiration: "I can do all things through Christ which
strengthens me" (Phil 4:13).
Today Scott continues to balance working as an
architectural designer and Teaching God’s word to the sheep of Christ at
Calvary Chapel of Nashua. He and Maria also enjoy bicycle riding,
exercising, camping, and the occasional trip to the beach! Mostly, they
love to see Jesus work in restoring the lives of the people God places
around them. God’s Word is a double edged sword, dividing soul and
spirit, and it changes your life, For Christ!
